The only weird part of the episode is that it followed Harm’s Way which meant a lot of kooky, jokey stuff in a row. (This is where watching weekly as opposed to marathon watching is better. It probably wouldn’t have bothered me if I didn’t have that chip on my shoulder.)

I love Lindsey coming back. Every ten or so minutes I’d just sigh and mumble something about not understanding the Doyle stuff and wanting it to make sense.

I do like Spike being on the ground and fighting as a vigilante the way Angel - and Gunn - first did. I’m not totally convinced that Wolfram & Hart is a bad thing. But I do think the contrast sets up something nice to play with between Spike and Angel.

I have mixed feelings about Dream Sequences. It’s a great look inside a main characters thoughts process…but I don’t always love using that convention. It sometimes feels like creative cheating. Do I mean that? I don’t know, I have like two more of these to write and Cordelia died so just chill out.
